Beatrice Arnold

Beatrice H. Arnold passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 26th, 2007. She was born on August 13, 1922, to Arthur and Margaret (Shock) Hammersmith in Ney, Ohio. Bea was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Parish where she was active in the Rosary Alter Society and the school community. Her neighbors will always remember her as "the Angel of Grantley Road" due to her compassionate and giving heart, as well as her many kind deeds. Bea was also a fantastic homemaker and cherished time spent with her family. She was a very warm, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her dear husband, Lester J. Arnold; son, Larry L. Arnold, and sister, Freda Crites. She is deeply loved by her children: Dennis Arnold; James (Beth) Arnold; Mamie Arnold; Joyce (Timothy) Begin; Shirley Arnold and William Arnold; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and sisters, Ethel Heinzroth and Rose Ann Albright as well as many treasured relatives and friends.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. A scripture rosary prayer service will be recited on Thursday at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. Fr. Martin Donnelly will officiate. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
