Barbara Walton
Barbara Walton (Stewart), age 77, passed away on Friday, May 13th, 2011. She was born September 25th, 1933 to the late Vorice Stewart and Maxidel (Essex) in Toledo, Ohio.
Barbara graduated Scott H.S. in 1952 and then married the love of her life, Clarence "Toots." She worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield, A&P Tea Company and retired from Sylvania High School. Barbara loved gardening but her real passion was fishing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Joe and son, Jimmy. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 58 years, Clarence; daughter, Linda (Charles) Platt; son, Robert Walton; grandchildren, Sarah (Brandon) Wetter, Nicholas Platt, Sadie Platt, Katie (Kyle) Sheppard, Samantha Walton, Andrew Walton, Alex Walton; great-grandchildren, Graycen Wetter, Olivia Mortti and good friends, Ethan, Tracie and Jeff.
The family will receive guests Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor George Goodrich officiating. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bono Baptist Church, 967 Main St., Martin, OH 43445.
