Barbara Truitt

Barbara J. Truitt, age 86, of Toledo, passed away July 3, 2016 at Heartland at Promedica. Barbara was born June 28, 1930 to John and Gladys (Goff) Devlin. A 1949 graduate of Devilbiss HS, she met and married the love of her life, Richard Truitt on October 11, 1952. A homemaker all her life, Barbara enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her summers at her cottage in Oak Harbor. She especially enjoyed going to McDonald's and meeting with her friends.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard Truitt; daughter, Pamela; granddaughter, Kim and brother-in-law, James Wittscheck. She is survived by her granddaughters, Kelly (Doug) Harris and Kristy (Ron) Bielawski, sister, Sally Wittscheck, great-grandchildren, Blake and Braden Smith; Carington, Lilly and Keenan Harris; Aubrey Bielawski and Son-in-law, James Lambert.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charily of the donor's choice in Barbara's memory.
