Barbara R. Mohr, 91, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at St. Charles Hospital. Barb was born on May 10, 1932 to James and Lucille Nagle. She grew up in West Toledo and graduated from Central Catholic High School. Ironically, Barb's beginning (her baptism and education) and ending (her funeral and final good-byes) are taking place here at Blessed Sacrament. Barb was a bookkeeper for multiple companies, most notably Grogan Realty for over ten years.
She was a loving mother to three children, Timothy (Janet) Keefe, Thomas (Maggie) Keefe, and preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia (Ted) Kidwell. Barb's long list of extended family include many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as well as many dear friends.
An outstanding cook/baker, Barb showed her appreciation to others by thanking them with amazing baked goods. She also was known for her birthday cakes and special dinners.
Barb loved camping at their campgrounds for over twenty years. Reading and word puzzles were a favorite past time. She enjoyed watching old movies and following the Detroit Tigers.
In addition to her family, Barb is survived by one sister, Beverly DeMuth, and her sister-in-law, Tana Nagle. She is predeceased by her loving husband of almost 26 years, Alton Mohr, plus her siblings and their spouses, Jim (Irene) Nagle, Helen (Jim) Crouch, Joan (Bill) Gibbons, John Nagle, and brother-in-law, Charles DeMuth.
Family and friends will always treasure wonderful memories of Barb. She was a strong-willed woman who knew exactly what she wanted or didn't want. Barb's undeniable spirit will live on in the hearts of her kids and grandkids forever.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2240 Castlewood Dr, Toledo, where a Memorial Mass will immediately follow.
Those wishing to contribute in Barb's memory are asked to consider Stand Up For Cancer.
The family would like to give special thanks to Martha and Mike for their loving care over the last three years.
