Barbara Jo Bolfa (Whiteman), 63, was called home to her Lord and Savior on February 17, 2012. She was born on February 11, 1949 to the late Frederick and Doris Whiteman in Tiffin, Ohio.
Barb loved spending time with her family, she especially adored her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, writing, dancing, bingo and watching soap operas.
In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; brothers, Bill and Rick Whiteman. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tammy (Chris) Dlugoleski, John (Debbie) Szempias, Gary (Christine) Bolfa, Chris (Michelle) Szempias, Corissa Bolfa and A.J. Bolfa; siblings, Bob (Holly) Whiteman and Joyce (Tom) Swan; grandchildren, Daryl, John, Tiara, Nicholas, Breana, Joshua and Zachary and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
The family will receive guests on Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300) with a "Sharing of Memories" beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Road, Oregon. The family will receive guests for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. Father Mark Herzog officiating.
