Barbara Ann Jarrell

Barbara Ann (Saunders) Jarrell, age 83, of Toledo, passed away peacefully March 16, 2022. Barbara was born February 6, 1939 in Toledo to Ernest and Josephine (Speicher) Saunders.
She attended Libbey High School graduating in the class of 1957. She met the love of her life, Robert Jarrell, and got married in 1967. Together they had two beautiful children, David and Sandra.
Barbara worked for Toledo Public Schools for 25 years. She loved to bake, making many beautiful cakes. She also loved to knit and would share her blankets and scarves with others.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert; son, David (Cindy); daughter, Sandra (Mark) Blase; grandchildren, Kalee Jarrell, Emily Blase, Evan Jarrell, Kirsten Blase; great-granddaughter, Anika Foreman; and brothers, Fred, Jim and Bill Saunders.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Josephine Saunders; sister, Darlene Faust; granddaughter, Brandee Jarrell; and great-grandson, baby Xavier David Yates.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) where Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice in Barbara's memory.
The family would like to give a big thank you to all the nurses and doctors at UTMC for the love and compassion they provided to our mom in her final days.
