Barbara J. Pounds

Barbara J. (Goss) Pounds, age 86, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Genesis Point Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 12, 1930 in Toledo, OH. Throughout the majority of Barb's life she was a nurses aide for local hospitals and nursing facilities. She truly enjoyed working with the patients, she was very much a people person. In her younger years she was an avid bowler, having bowled in various leagues. Barb was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, James W. Pounds; daughter, Brenda Sherman and 5 grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her son, Michael Pounds.

The family will receive guests on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Adams officiating.
