Barbara J. Moredock, age 89 of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away at home Monday, April 29, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born March 28, 1924 to Paul and Elizabeth (Coffman) Hays in Uniontown, PA.
During WWII, she worked in Washington, DC. for the AGO's finance department. For ten years, Barbara worked in the Recorder of Deeds Office in Uniontown, PA. From 1957 until 1971, she was a Title Searcher for PEN/DOT - Right of Way Department in Harrisburg, PA. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, watching sports, reading, and working on crossword puzzles. Barbara was a former member of Jacob's Lutheran Church in Masontown, PA.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, June (Bruce) Johnson; grandson, Dr. Mark (Dr. Heidi) Johnson and one expected great-grandchild; sisters, Henrietta (Henry) Voskowsky of Sarasota, FL and Pauline Jones of Harrisburg, PA and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Moredock; sister, Eleanor Rhees and brother, James Hays.
