Barbara Anne Grant

Barbara A. Grant, age 80, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Born December 5, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, she later moved to Zanesville, Ohio where she first met the love of her life, Richard Lee Grant. She would meet him again after moving to Sylvania, Ohio. Barb graduated from Burnham High School in 1959 where she was a cheerleader and enjoyed dance and gymnastics.

They were married on June 6, 1959 at Church of the Nazarene and had 5 children together.

Barb was a homemaker and worked alongside Richard as a secretary for their family-owned business. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and family picnics.

She was preceded in death by her father, Spencer Herbert King; mother, Ellen Catherine Gray; and brothers, John and Jerry Sorosiak.

Barb is survived by her loving husband, Richard; brother, Terri (Shelly) King; children, Robin (Alan), Richard Jr. (Lisa), Ronald, Renee (Rick), Robert (Stephanie); and grandchildren, Stephanie, Heather, David, Krystal, Rose, Ronald, Cassandra, K.D.; and many great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Toledo Trinity Church of Nazarene, 4930 Flanders Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43623, from 4-6:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Ketterman and loved ones.
