Barbara D. Palmer-Foth, age 80 of Erie, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 21, 1932 to Robert Dale and Pauline Elizabeth (Thom) Mulvaney. Barbara worked as an office administrator for a pediatrician's office for 20 years, Dr. Lin in Medina, Ohio. She also coached softball in Valley City. In her spare time she enjoyed golfing, bowling and reading. Barbara will be remembered for her artistic ability; she loved knitting, sewing, needlework, candle and bead making, painting ceramics and most recently, painting with acrylics. Most precious to her was her family; she was an endearing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 23 years, Chester L. Foth; brother, Michael (Carol) Mulvaney; children, Dale (Tammy) Palmer, David (Cyndi) Palmer, Douglas (Rosemarie) Palmer, Wendy (Scott) Bishop and Jenny (Scott) Mattson; bonus-children, Chester (Krystal) Foth, Kim (Kurk) Monroe and Stephanie Foth; 25 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 expected-great-granddaughter; aunt, Kathleen Powers and uncle, Norman Thom. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive guests Friday, September 21, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin on Friday in the funeral home at 3:00 p.m.
