Barbara Jean Bricker was born on November 12, 1955 in Shelby, Ohio. She was one of two children born from the late Byron and the late Rosemary (Sifferlin) Bricker. Barbara was a graduate of Spring Lake High School in Michigan and went onto receive her Nursing degree at Mercy School of Nursing, then received her Master's in Anesthesiology at St V's in Toledo Ohio. She was employed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist at Associated Anesthesiologist of Toledo, retiring in 2002. She married the love of her life, Don Earls on June 22, 1982.
Barbara left a print on all those who were blessed to know her and gave to others selflessly. She had an appreciation for nature with a green thumb she treasured her flower beds.
Barbara had a determined spirit about her. She set a goal and achieved them. Her career was imperative, but her family was most important to her. Barbara cherished time spent with them especially her grandchildren. She was not fancy herself; however, she enjoyed decorating for all the holidays and hosting Christmas Eve where she will always be remembered for serving Chick-fil-A nuggets.
Barbara J. Earls, age 64, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly at 2:04pm on September 10, 2020 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her brother: Michael Bricker DVM.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her husband of 38 years, Donald; two children: Ashley Lynn Earls and Jamie Leigh Earls Jackson and son-in-law James Jackson both of Sylvania; two grandchildren: Kole and Cooper Earls Johnson: and Debbie Amdur of St Louis Missouri: and canine companions: Harley, Pepper and Morton.
The family will receive guests from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home; 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo (419)473-0300. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30am on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 5373 Main Street, Sylvania. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
