Barbara Jean Dresser, age 71, formerly of Toledo, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at her daughter's home in Naples, Florida surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 3, 1940 to James and Viola (Higgins) Johnson in Tiffin, Ohio. Barbara was very talented and in her free time she enjoyed making all kinds of crafts. While in Naples, Florida she loved watching the sunset but she also enjoyed the wild life in that area and all of the palm trees. Barbara battled with health issues over the years but her determined spirit kept her going. Her family will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother and dear friend to many. She will be truly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Pamela (Bobby) Horner of Naples, Florida and son, Anthony (Terrie) Wheatley of Toledo; sister, Donna Miller; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death along with her parents are brothers, James Williamson Jr. and Ronald Williamson.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
