Barbara A. "Barb" Cousino, a lifelong resident of Toledo unexpectedly went to Heaven on Saturday, May 8th, 2021. She was born on April 20, 1958 to Jack and Patricia (Hand) Crooks in Toledo. Barb was a proud 30 year employee of Toledo Public Schools which she loved, most recently working at Bowsher. She was very passionate about her job and enjoyed being a CPO; the students were "her kids" and knew her as Ms. Barb. Barb liked spending her time taking cruises on spring break, going bowling and going on adventures with her friends. She loved the outdoors, gardening and sitting outside with her cup of coffee feeding the birds and squirrels, especially her friend "Shirley". Barb enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, most importantly her grandchildren; they were the light of her life. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barb is survived by her husband and best friend, Tony; brother, David Crooks; children, Guadalupe Blanco III, Brandan (Patricia Ann) Crooks, Justin (Elon) Cousino, and Amanda (Mike) Cousino; and her grand babies, Jada, Camren, Adriana, Madison, Guindin, and Emris; and her cat, Cooper "Coop Coop"; and many dear friends who meant a lot to Barb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Little Tony; her twin nephews, Jeremy and Jacob Bancer; best friend and partner in crime, Paula Parker.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 2 - 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Private.
