Barbara Bowens

Barbara A. "Barb" Bowens, age 67, of Toledo went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born on July 13, 1940 to Nathaniel and Lorene Greene, Sr., in Hazard Co., Kentucky. Barb was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend who will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Barb is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, David Bowens; daughters: Angela Bowens and Felicia (Quintin) Quinn; granddaughter: Chelsea Quinn; brother: Nathaniel (Juanita) Greene, Jr.; step-brothers: Isaac (Shirley) and Frank (Mary) Williams; step-sisters: Jackie Taylor and Julia Phoenix; and many other family members and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at Upton United Methodist Church, 3611 Upton Ave., Toledo, with a gathering beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.
