Barb (Weiser) Belcik, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her home where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was 68 years old; born on April 14, 1948 to Lee A. and Winifred "Lucille" (Humphreys) Weiser in Toledo. Barb married Terry Belcik February 22, 1986.
Barb was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had a graciousness that was insurmountable. She was known for her warm infectious smile and personality that could light up a room. She will be remembered for her selfless dedication to others, her courageous spirit, love of life, and dedication to her family.
She was a 1966 graduate of Whitmer High School and attended the University of Toledo. Barb worked for Owens Illinois for many years as Administrative Assistant and most recently she worked for over 25 years for Family Practice of Toledo. She was a longtime member of Reformation Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Altar Guild. Barb was a talented watercolor artist for many years. In her younger years she was active in various softball, volleyball and bowling leagues.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Terry; father, Lee A. Weiser; daughters, Shannon (Steve) Schoen and Brooke Tanner; step-children, David (Tracy) Belcik, Keith (Trina) Belcik and Toni (Robert) Walker; brothers, Neil Weiser and Doug (René) Weiser; grandchildren, Hannah and Jack; Heather, Joshua, Paul, Andrea, Allison, Derek and Connor; great-grandchildren, Ella and Ashlynn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Winifred.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Celebration of Life for Barb will begin on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
