Aupolene Rainey Stewart

Aupolene Rainey Stewart, age 87, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born July 7, 1921 to Wilson and Maudie Maybelle (Sims) Rainey in Cullman, Alabama. Aupolene was a distinguished member of KOPS for 34 years mentoring others and receiving many special awards. She enjoyed playing Bingo every week and being outdoors spending time in her gardens. Most importantly Aupolene cherished the time spent with her family doting on her grandchildren and sons-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Clyde Stewart; grandson, Keith Mominee and brothers, Odene; Bud and Onnie James Rainey. Aupolene is survived by her children, Ann (Cleo) Mominee of Graytown, OH; Margie (Eddie) Schultz of Toledo; Del Stewart of Oregon, OH and Dennis Stewart of Oregon, OH; grandsons, Kevin Mominee; David (Renee); Mark (Kelly) and Brian (Danielle) Schultz; great grandchildren, Conner; Kelsie; Aiden and Alexia; brothers, Dee (Irma) Rainey; Jack (Barbara) Rainey and Billy (Muriel) Rainey; sister, Nell (Sonny) Florence and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Roy Pickett. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
