Audrey (Croley) Siler, age 79, of Toledo, born in Jellico, Tennessee, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Matt Croley and Mattie (Croley) Marshall, step-father, Fred Marshall; and sister, Ruth (Siler) Chewning. Audrey held a degree in cosmetology. She was a very gifted artist, accomplished in many other crafts, and was an avid reader. Audrey's cats were a joy to her.
Audrey is survived by loving and devoted husband of almost 57 years, Lonnie A. Siler; sister, Naomi "Toni" Lawson of Corbin, KY; and sister-in-law, Janice Siler, of Toledo. She and her husband were also surrogate parents of nephews, Mark, Billy and James Baker; and Audrey was also deeply loved by a host of other nieces, nephews, and their families. She will be sorely missed.
A special thanks to James Baker who helped care for her during her lingering illness.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
