Audrey Ann Crow

January 19, 1931 — April 27, 2024

Audrey Ann Crow, age 93, of Toledo peacefully went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2024. She was born in Swanton, Ohio to Sylvia and Arthur Koepfer on January 19, 1931. She lived a long and beautiful life.

Audrey honored her parents in their later years by caring for them at their home and was also employed in the credit department at the former Lion Store in downtown Toledo. She married the love of her life, Floyd, on November 3, 1971. They were married for 35 years until his death on October 23, 2007. Her passion in life was to be a homemaker and mother. This dream came a little later in life but it made no difference as age was irrelevant to Audrey. She welcomed a daughter into her family in 1974 just shy of turning 44. In addition to raising her daughter, she had a home daycare center from 1980 until 1990. Audrey adored children.

Faith and family were the most important things in life to Audrey. She loved her church and had a passion for reading and studying the Word of God. Her faith was larger than life and she trusted God for anything and everything. Audrey had MANY mustard seeds of faith and this was evident by the life she lived. Age was always a ridiculous thought to Audrey and is affectionately remembered by saying "I'm not just rings on a tree" when asked her age. One would immediately regret any question of age to Audrey.

In addition to her passion for faith and family, Audrey enjoyed gardening and had a BIG "green thumb". Audrey's extensive gardens could be enjoyed by everyone driving down Rochelle Road in Toledo. She proudly wore dirt under her fingernails. In her "golden years", Audrey helped take care of gardening for her church. When she ran out of gardens at home, she would garden her daughter's home. Audrey actually enjoyed pulling weeds and volunteered to do this often, this request was always granted!

Audrey was an avid walker for exercise. Towering at 4 feet and 10 inches, she walked for miles and miles during her life. If she wasn't in her yard gardening, you would most likely see her walking down the road with her purse draped from her arm. Audrey was never seen walking without a purse on her arm, never.

Audrey loved helping raise her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Audrey's favorite title was that of "Nanny" which was an affectionate nickname given to her by her first grandson. She was a wonderful role model and loving presence in their lives. Audrey was a natural encourager and spoke truth and love into their lives. She will always be remembered by saying "God IS love".

Left to cherish her memory is her Daughter Brenda (Marlin) Winchester; grandchildren Coltin, Lilly, Emelia and Isabelle Winchester; step-children, Vicky, Cathy, Sharon and Matthew; sister, Patricia Weis; nieces, Gwen Wills, Brenda Wurzell and nephew, Jeff Weis. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Crow, Jr. and step-children, Tim and Linda Crow.
