Arvilla Allen

Arvilla B. Allen, age 85, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 surrounded by her loving daughter and friend, Karen after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 30, 1925 to George and Alma (Wingert) Miller in Berkey, Ohio. In her spare time Arvilla enjoyed going to garage sales and many times she put together a garage sale of her own. She made numerous bus trips to Greek Town Casino and joked with her family that she was going for "therapy." Aside from garage sales and trips to Detroit, Arvilla loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arvilla was very thankful for her neighbors, Pat and Paul Czyzewski for the friendship they provided over the years.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Daniel, Bernard (Janet), Bobby (Jeannie) and Duane Williamson and Shelby (Mike) Willard; step-children, Karrie, Dan (Betty) and Jay Allen and Judy (Tom) Stampflmeier; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ray Allen Jr.; son, Jesse Williamson; daughter, Billie Allen; step-son, Steve Allen and sisters, Shirley Frankhauser and Joy Ann Semelka.

The family will receive guests Saturday from 2-5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at 5:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank Pat and Paul Czyzewski, Karen Box, Sandie Carter and the nursing staff from Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the diligent care and support they provided to Arvilla. The family is very grateful for your kindness.
