Arthur Francis Young

Arthur F. "Art" Young, age 77, passed away suddenly on Sunday early morning, October 30, 2016 in Reddick, Florida. He was born on October 6, 1939 to Harry and Rose (Morganello) Young in Erie, Michigan. Art proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958 - 1966. While stationed in Orlando, FL, Art met and married Anita Elaine (Tice) Young on September 20, 1959. Art retired from Jeep Corporation after 32 years of service where he was a fork lift operator. After retirement Art and Anita enjoyed spending as much time with their grandchildren as they could and wintering in Florida.

While living in Toledo, Art was an active member of Hopewell Wesleyan Church, UAW Local 12, Jeep Retirees and when he was in Florida he an Anita were active members in the Tangerine Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 57 years, Anita Young; children, Rosemary Young, Kathy Young, Arthur (Karen), II and John (Michelle); grandchildren, Kevin Thompson, II, Kaitlynn Thompson, Anita (Robert) Seaton, Brittany Schoch, Miranda Young and Jason Young; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Timmy; sister, Mary (Sam) Ambrosini; many friends and their church families in Toledo and Mt. Dora, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Jerry Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, Michigan.
