Arthur R. "Archie" Zegarlowicz, age 84, of Temperance, passed away with his favorite chew in his pocket on Sunday, April 10, 2016. He was born on February 11, 1932 to Louis and Sophia (Tonkel) Zegarlowicz in Toledo. For nearly 40 years Archie worked for Ohio Bell as a lineman then later as an engineer manager. Archie was very proud of being able to travel to his home country of Poland, while working with AT&T on rebuilding the telecommunication infrastructure in Poland. He was proud to be a Golden Glove Boxer, known as "Archie Watcher."
Archie had a cottage on Posey Lake and would spend as much time as he could there. He was most happiest with a mouth full of chew, working on special projects and visiting the "library." He will be missed by his Posey Lake gang.
Archie loved the outdoors, he enjoyed water skiing in his younger days and spent many Saturdays rabbit hunting with his buddies, Abe and Sam. He was an avid fisherman and would travel to Canada for the annual fishing trip.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Jane (Russeau) Zegarlowicz; children, Deborah Francis, Sandy (Glen) Langenderfer, Christine (Thomas) Meyers and Michael Zegarlowicz; grandchildren, Mandi, Nikki, Tim, Brian, Matt, Tommy and Sam; 9 precious great-grandchildren; siblings, Mel (Saeko) Zegarlowicz and Nancy Harberson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Jurski, Martha Grzechowiak and Louis Zegarlowicz.
