Arthur J. Apostle

Arthur J. "Art" Apostle, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was born on April 5, 1936 to James and Pearl (Kinkaid) Apostle.
Art served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and was very proud of his service to his country. He worked for 30 years as a mason brick layer and also worked for Jeep for 11 years as a millwright, retiring in 1998.

Art was a very special man with a heart of gold, who we believed never met a stranger. Art enjoyed playing cards with family and friends; watching The Ohio State Buckeyes football as well as documentaries on television. He also enjoyed his occasional trips to the casinos.

On January 7, 1977 he married his true love and soulmate, Shirley (Baughman) who he cherished more then life itself.

Besides Shirley he leaves behind his loving daughters, Patti (Lee) Stroll and Diane (Bud) Farkas; grandchildren, Jilian, Jimmy, Ryan, Chelsea, Nicholas and Cassidy; 11 great-grandchildren; brother in law, Bob and Bernice Baughman; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Apostle.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
