Arlene McConnell, 88, passed away at Hospice of NW Ohio on Feb. 8, 2013. She was born Feb. 4, 1925 to Bob and Marge Gauthier, who preceded her in death. A lifelong resident of Ohio, she worked at Tiedtkies, Save Electric and then the DeVilbiss Co from where she retired in 1990.
Surviving is her daughter, Jean Purdy; granddaughter, Vickey (Tim) Cox; grandson, Bruce Purdy, and great granddaughter, Melanie Cox. She is also preceded in death by granddaughter, Debbie Purdy and life-long friend, Betty Bensch. Arlene was a founding member of Calvary Bible Chapel.
The family will receive guests from 2-8:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Calvary Bible Chapel, 3740 W. Alexis Rd., where there will be visitation one hour prior to services.Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of NW Ohio.
