Arlene C. Albright

Arlene Carolyn Albright, age 88, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on November 5, 2024. She was born in Toledo to parents Edward and Martha Haddad on July 11, 1936. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1954 and later graduated from the University of Toledo School of Nursing. Board certified in psychiatric nursing, she worked at both the Medical College of Ohio and The Toledo Hospital. She was married for 27 years to the love of her life, Jesse Albright. She enjoyed the loving companionship of her husband, gardening, quilting, and reading. She had a special affinity for Egyptian culture, fine art, and was also an accomplished painter.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Randy (Dee) Meyers, Steve (Wayne McDole) Meyers, Penelope (Ron) Sanford, Marcella Rainwater, and stepdaughter Stephanie Michelle (Loy) Owens, along with her sister Audrey and brother Edward. Arlene was also blessed with grandchildren Hannah (Karter) Sell, Rebekah (Alex) Wojtala, Nathan (Morgan) Meyers, Joel Meyers, Celina (Glenn) Forbes, Patrick (Erica) Kennedy, Clare Kennedy, Matthew Sanford, Kate Madison Sanford, and William Decator. Moreover, Arlene had 20 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son Joseph Meyers, stepson Steven Michael Albright, her parents, and her twin sister Elaine Cann.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11 at Newcomer West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King, Toledo, with a memorial service to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
