Arla H. Hill

Arla H. Hill, age 95, of Toledo, passed away Monday, March 16th, 2009 at her daughter's home. She was born January 25th, 1914 to Leo and Mayme (Mueller) Hartwig in Toledo. Ohio. Arla was employed with Libbey Owens Ford for 19 years and previously Libbey Glass for several years. Arla was a proud member of the Libby Glass Old Timers and looked forward to the annual luncheons meeting with old friends. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and crafting of all kinds. Arla was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends. Every summer we all looked forward to her fresh homemade strawberry jelly. Arla was also a longtime member of Augsburg Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, Arla was preceded in death by her husband, William Hill; brothers, Bernard and Ralph Hartwig and sister, Thelma Duke. She is survived by her loving children, sons, Dennis (Judy) Hill and Tom (Sheila) Hill; daughter, Marge (Keith) Cadaret; sister, Helen Tokes of Brooksville, FL; grandchildren, Kelly (Scott) Smith; Chris (Mike) Fonseca of Chicago, IL; Sean (Melissa) Cadaret; Scott (Jenni) Cadaret of TN and Mike (Ashley) Cadaret of Cleveland, OH; step-granddaughter, Erika Garza; great grandchildren, Elaina and Julianna Smith; Graeme, Mia, Owen, Ben and Sophia Cadaret and Grace Fonseca; step great-grandson, Erik Green and great great grandchild, Emari Green.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
