Archie Williams

Archie Williams, age 71, of Toledo, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania.He was born on June 10, 1944 to Govenor and Sarah (Jones) Williams in Demopolis, Alabama. Archie retired from Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after 23 years of service as a Respiratory Therapist. He truly was dedicated to his work and to the patients that he encountered. Archie's family will remember him for his bar-b-que grilling talents and how he prepared and fried fish and shrimp for family and friends. He took pride in caring for his car and maintaining the appearance.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Sarah Williams; children, Anthony, Bonnita, Kymberli and Sarah; grandchildren, Tonyetta, Kenyetta, Danielle, Anthony, Tray'vone and Cameron; Antonio and Antwan; Kionah, Jordan and Josiah; Tyaira, Johnny, Jaishaun and Takiyah; siblings, Andy, Della, Dennis, Jeanette, Darlene, Charlene and Edward. Archie was preceded in death by his father, Govenor "Buddy" Williams.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
