Archie C. Cabell, age 92, of Toledo, passed away December 13, 2018 at home. Archie was born February 4, 1926 in Henderson, KY to Otha and Alibee (McGuire) Cabell. He served in the US Navy during World War II in Guam. He was employed and retired from Chrysler. Archie was a drummer and singer for many years. He enjoyed watching westerns, Cleveland Indians, blues and jazz music, hunting rabbit and pheasant. Archie was the first black meter reader in Evansville, IN and had the fastest motorcycle in town.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lena Cabell, children, Katie Overton, Anna McDonald, Marlena (Carl) Gilmore, Misty Waldon, Thomas McFarland, George Cabell, Eric Cabell, James Cabell, Tracy (Joni) Cabell, Ronald Cabell, Anthony Cabell, Matthew (Traci) Cabell; sisters, Eva J. Allison, Lodia Coates and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Archie Cabell, Jr., Wallace Cabell and Floyd Morse-Cabell and 13 siblings.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Living Faith Tabernacle 1047 Walbridge Rd. Toledo with visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Evansville, IN.
