Apostle Maurice Fields

Wilbur Maurice Fields, born July 7th 1952, to the union of Ross B. and Corine (Forbes) Fields, Sr. He attended Libbey High School, where he performed musical concerts. Upon graduating, he studied at Bach Conservatory School of Music. He later met his future, beautiful wife, Adalaide Johnson through his Aunt Bishop Harkness and her grandmother, Emmie Dornell. They were later joined in Holy Matrimony, and from that union came four beautiful children. A year later, they founded their first church, The Cooperation of Love, in which they later formed into Daystar Church. Maurice later became a successful entrepreneur, owning several businesses. In his spare time he learned about flying and went on to earn his pilot's license. He made serval trips, including flying over the Great Lakes as a prayer run. He was a generous giver who gave to those in need and he was a family man who loved taking his family and relatives on vacation and he loved his Great Faith Church family.

He was preceded by his parents; siblings, Ross "Butch" Fields, Jr., Charlotte Fields, and Nadine Fields-Collins. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years, Adalaide Fields; children, Angela Johnson-Rodgers, Gabriel M. Fields, Jason M. Fields, Rachel Blackman, and Timothy M. "Baby boy" Fields; first born grandson, Blake M. Rodgers; grandchildren, Austin M. Rodgers, Jevont'e "JJ" Jacobs, J'Yanna M. Fields, and Justice M. Fields; siblings, Earlene Barnett, David Fields, and Janet Fields; lifelong friends, Reverend Ronald McCloud, of Las Vegas, NV; Johnny Trail, Sterling Cox, Merlin Cox, and Ralph Perryman; brothers in Ministry, Dr. Chet Crutchfield, Apostle Keith Barr, Prophet Joseph Waller and Prophet Daryl Thomas; lifelong extended family, The Baccus Family; brothers and sisters in love, Lora Vell (Ronnie), Lila Ann (Keith), Eddie (Willa), Leslie, Brenda (Osceola) Bethany Brooks, Brona Lynn, Robert (Jackie), and Mark (Jemila); Great Faith Church family, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive guests Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Compassion Church 3327 Airport Highway Toledo, OH 43609. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 12:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery, 1704 Mulberry St, Toledo, OH 43608.
