Anthony Todd Jones, a.k.a. "Todd", departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, August 17th, 2005, to join his father on earth and his heavenly Father, after a tragic motorcycle accident in Texas. Best known as one of the "Jones kids on Mackow Drive", Todd attended Ryder Elementery, McTigue Jr. High and graduated form Bowsher High School in 1980. During his junior and senior years Todd also attended the Tool & Die Center at DeVilbiss Skill Center. Todd was an accomplished wrestler throughout Jr. High and High School and was All City in his senior year, capturing the record for most pins. He loved to play basketball with his friends and he was an avid fisherman and hunter. For many years after high school, Todd was an amateur boxer in Oklahoma and Texas. He worked for Daimler Chrysler for 20 years.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Norman Todd Jones, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Sharon; 2 loving children, Anthony Todd, Jr. and Shautodd; his dedicated mother, Louise Jones; and 8 loving and caring siblings, Robert (Karen); Conrad (Pam) Iris; Juan (Elaine); Sarah (John); Flora; Norman III (Teresa) and Kimberly (Eric). Todd was a fun loving and charming guy with a captivating smile. He also leaves a host of relatives and dear friends who will also miss him greatly.
The family will receive guests Tuesday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, 640 Indiana Ave. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
