Annette Alums, beloved mother to two children, 77, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on the First of October in the year of Two Thousand and Twenty Four, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Toledo in 1947 to Danetta Smith-Davidson and Rayfield Davidson, with her sister Mona born two years later from the same union. Annette attended DeVilbiss and Scott High schools before studying early childhood development at “Comm Tech” and going on to work as a police aid for the city of Toledo and an accounts payable representative for Columbia Gas.
Annette was a devoted wife to Michael G. Alums and mother to Kipp and Keno, her prides and joy. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided. Annette took special joy in making sure her sons had the best, and had fond memories of family members she shared with them.
Annette was preceded in death by her mother Danetta, her father Rayfield, and her step-father Chuck and her grandmother and great uncle Lilian and Dan Smith. Annette is survived by her sons Kipp and Keno, her grandchildren Brandon and Aongelle, and her great-grandchildren LaNya, Lamar, Royal, Zyaire, Raylah and Amelia, her sister Mona and her sons Tim (TJ, Elijah) and Justin (Jakeel) who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
The viewing/wake is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10am to 11am and the home going service is at 11am of the same day at Macedonia Baptist Church 1501 S Cove Blvd, Toledo, OH 43606. Donations to Susan G. Koman For The Cure in her name are appreciated.
