Anna Burke "Anna Banana / Anna Mae", age 52 years, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on June 15, 2018. Anna was born on October 12, 1965 and attended Woodward High School.
Anna could be described as quirky and fun loving. Anna was a very tough lady and she even worked through chemo treatments because she loved her job so much. Anna was a long-time employee of Cintas Corporation where she worked as a Garment Hanger and would make all her coworkers laugh.
Anna enjoyed going to bingo with her older sisters and spending time with her four grandchildren and daughters.
She was a very humble person and she would often tell her daughters not to focus on material things because quote "you can't take them with you when you go" and she often reminded them to "don't sweat the small stuff". This is a true testament to her character as there was so much wisdom in the simple way she lived her life.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband Peter Skoney, & parents Margaret and Gerald Burke, Niece Amy Rhoades and her beloved dog Chewy. Surviving are her two daughters Angela Burke and Melissa Johnson Son-In-Law Jason Johnson, Grand Children Dominic, Devon, Analecia, and Jaylee. Her sisters and brother; Veronica Burke, Mary Weatherholt, Teresa Burke, and Chris Burke; nieces and nephews. Her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sylvia and Fred Matthews. She is also survived by her Aunt Corrine and cousins from the Zmuda family.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer North West Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. Toledo, OH 43623 (419) 473-0300
