On November 13, 2014, Ann Carolyn Lechman, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed from this life into the next. She was born on July 4, 1959, to John and Mary Frances (Palmer) Lechman, and was a resident in the Toledo area all her years.
A graduate of Central Catholic High School (1977), Ann worked for many years in food service management. Later she earned her Bachelor's degree in social work from Lourdes University and became a licensed social worker.
Struggling for many years with severe health issues, Ann always deferred to the difficulties of others and was generous in her efforts to make their lives better. Her kindness and compassion will long be remembered. A member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Ann loved the Lord and her life reflected her faith.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Frances "Mefty" Palmer. Ann is survived by her father, John and step-mother, Marilyn Lechman; sister, Marypat (Jim) Page; brother, John D. Lechman. She is also survived by her niece, Jaime (Nick) Koepke; nephew, T.J. (Jessica) Smith; great niece and nephews, Lexi, Nolan and Trevor; and friends, Sue Bryston and the Villa clan.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo.
