Ann Calaway Bridgman, 83, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday morning July 10th 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Ann was born on August 27th 1930 to Cullen P. Calaway and Margret Darby Calaway. She was a graduate of Miami of Ohio and a Tri Delt. She taught High School Arts at Kellys High School in Chicago, Illinois. She then worked for Scott Foresman as an English Dept. Editor until she retired 25 years later. In 1991, Ann moved back to her roots in Toledo, Ohio. As a member of the Toledo Artist Club, the Athena Art Society, and the Northwest Ohio Water Color Society she was able to touch so many hearts. Her passion for life and the arts has been seen in the art she has created.
Ann is survived by her children; Thomas K. Bridgman and Catherine A. Bridgman (Dan C. Rodgers), grandchildren; Jessica, Dani, and Shane Rodgers. She will be missed. Her life had meaning and she will continue to live in our hearts.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, July 15 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
