Angelique Voyantzis

Angelique Voyantzis, age 85, passed away Sunday, June 20th, 2010 at Lake Park Care Center. She was born July 9th, 1924 in Athens, Greece. In 1969, Angelique moved to the United States after living in South America. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Angelique was an avid baseball follower and a fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Atlanta Braves. Her family will miss her traditional Greek dishes that she cooked for them over the years and her radiant smile.

Angelique was preceded in death by her husband, Demetre Voyantzis. Survivors include her daughter, Irene Voyantzis; son, Steve (Vicki) Voyantzis; grandchildren, Benjamin Reece and Mitchell Voyantzis.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 802 North Superior St., Toledo, Ohio. A Trisagion Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the church. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Ari Damaskos. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
