Angela M. Carle

Angela M. Carle, age 93, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at Arbors of Sylvania Nursing Home. She was born August 19th, 1916 to Michael and Stella (Glowski) Dobrochowski in Toledo. Angela was a longtime resident of Toledo and became a Real Estate Agent with DiSalle Reality working for more than 38 years. She was a member of the Toledo Board of Realtors. Prior to becoming a licensed agent, she and her late husband John "Smitty" owned and operated several different businesses, including three taverns, a flower shop, a dry cleaners and a women's apparel shop. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, cherishing time she spent with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Angela was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John "Smitty" Carle; daughter, Marlyn Kowalski and 5 siblings. She is survived by her loving son, John (Cathleen) Carle of Sylvania; grandchildren, Alice (Erik) Power of Plymouth, MI and Jay (Sarah) Carle of Chicago; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jack and the newest addition, Evelyn. Angela is also survived by her sister, Helen Golembewski and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
