Andy Williams

Andy Williams, age 67, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 4, 2021 at home surrounded by loving family. He was born on July 9, 1953 to Governor and Sarah (Jones) Williams in Toledo, OH. Andy graduated in 1972 from Scott High School. He worked at Libbey Owens Ford for many years. Andy then went on to work at Lucas County Metropolitan Housing in various positions until retirement. He was a previous member of Ridgewood Church of Christ where he was baptized. Andy was an avid pool shark and loved playing cards. He enjoyed music, especially rhythm and blues. He was very easy going, soft spoken and made friends easily. Andy had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. He was affectionately known as "PaPa" by his grandkids. Andy's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Archie and Dennis Williams. Left to cherish Andy's memory are his loving companion of 30 years, Brenda Irwin; son, Donnell Cason; step-son, Cedric Irwin, Sr.; sisters, Della M. Williams, Jeanette Williams-Halsey, Darlene Williams (Michael), and Charlene (Darrell) Williams-Banks; brother, Edward (Joanne) Williams; grandchildren, Donnell Cason Jr., Marquaz Burks, Cedric Irwin, Jr., Elijah Williams, Kimmie Dixon; great-grandson, Dalan Cason; life-long friends, Greg and Joey Hunt; good friend, Rolunda Cartwright; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and other dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 1 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300).
