Anargyros "Artie" Agapitos, age 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with loving family by his side. He was born on April 11, 1944 to Theodore and Dimitria Agapitos in Itea, Greece. He was an excellent cook, especially of his Greek heritage foods. Artie had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. Artie enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Agapitos. Left to cherish Artie's memory are his loving wife of almost 51 years, Georgia Agapitos; children, Theodore Agapitos and Dimitria (Steve) Roberts; grandchildren, Blake, Steven, Jacob, Andrew and Alex; sisters, Eleni Soufra and Sotiria Agapitos; nieces, Maria and Efthimia Soufra, and Dimitria Agapitos; nephew, John Soufra; and many other extended family and dear friends.
