Alvin C. White

Alvin C. White, age 92, of Toledo, passed away November 29, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. He was born May 1, 1924 in Toledo to Carl and Emma (Whitely) White. Al is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Ann White whom he married October 25, 1948; son, Mark (Lois) White; grandchildren, Marcus (Kelly) White, Justin White and Nicole White; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Landon, Mason, Jordan & Riley White; sister, Patricia Matthews. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Harold White; and sisters, Edith Fuller Yancy and Laura (Terry) Sevrence.

Al served 3 years in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre in the 83rd Infantry. He was employed by Columbia Gas Company as an Equipment Operator for 27 years. Al also worked for Perry's Crossing Apartments for 15 years as a Service Tech. Al will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Private Memorial Services were held. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 419-381-1900.
