Alvin J. Harder

Alvin J. "Al" Harder, age 78, formerly of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Fountain Inn Nursing Home in Fountain Inn, South Carolina where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 18, 1936 to Alvin J. Harder and Helen (Dolinski) Lewandowski. Al had retired from Flower Hospital after several years of working in the maintenance department. He was also a former member of Regina Coeli Catholic Parish. One of Al's favorite past times was fishing, he enjoyed fishing with friends at the lake.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Denise (Bruce) Davis; grandchildren, Deanna Harder, John-Michael Harris and Jason Harris; great-granddaughters, Caylee, Kellye, Leah and one expected great-granddaughter, Stella, in October; sister, Veronica (Ronald) Zak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Harder; infant son, Alvin J. Harder, III; son, Kenneth Harder; great-grandson, Caydon and beloved canine, Buffy.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, June 22, 2015 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
