Bud passed away on September 6, 2023 at Lakes of Monclova. He was such a special person who everyone loved and will be greatly missed. He was born under the Golden Dome of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana on March 21, 1928 to Lawrence and Josephine (Trybula) Mann.
Bud graduated in 1946 from Jesup W. Scott High School. He was drafted into the US
Army and served in Germany from 1950 to 1952. He then worked at the Chevy Transmission plant on Alexis Road and retired from there after 30 years. He was a great Euchre player and no one could ever beat him at a game of Checkers. He loved a good game of Othello with Mary Jo. Bud enjoyed watching sports on tv, especially Notre Dame football and the Cincinnati Reds baseball team.
Bud's survivors include his sister and brother-in-law and caregivers Mary Jo and Barney Flaherty, nephew Eric (Pam) Mann, nieces Diane Mann, Lori (Spike) Loros, special cousin and Goddaughter, Sandi Ahmer, and cousin Nancy (Dennis) Lewandowski. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry, nephews Billie and Kevin Flaherty and uncle Richard (Reba) Trybula.
There will be no visitation nor services.
In lie of flowers, please perform a random act of kindness in honor of Bud.
