Alice R. (Leonard) Rowan, 83 years passed away Tuesday afternoon at Darlington Nursing and Rehab Center where she was a patient of their care for the past three years.
Alice was born in Toledo on September 13, 1932 to Alfred Leonard and Dorothy (Lasage) Leonard. Alice was a 1951 graduate of Scott High School.
She retired from the Walter Gogel Company in 1995 where she worked as a office manager and was also in charge of the payroll department. She liked to go across the parking lot and feed the police horses apples on her lunch and had many pets of her own throughout the years. She was a avid Red Wings hockey fan and loved to watch their games on television.
She loved crafts and after retirement ran her own business aptly called The Craft Lady.
She was preceded in death by her father Alfred, mother Dorothy whom she cared for in her home till her mothers last day. And also her brother in law Joe Yager. Surviving are her two sons David and Anthony, her grandson Anthony, brother James Leonard, sister Dorothy Yager and sister in law Helen Leonard.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 2 – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 5:00 p.m.
