Alice R. Nichols

Alice R. Nichols, age 68, of Toledo, passed away peacefully March 14, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 19, 1951 to Arthur and Bernice (Filipovich) Nichols in Toledo. Alice worked at Osterman Jeweler's for many years. She then went on to work as a waitress at The Wharf in the early 1980's. Alice retired as a home health aide after many years. She enjoyed reading, dancing, loved music and being in the outdoors. Alice was an animal lover, especially dogs. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; they were the light of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul "Tony" Nichols, Theresa "Pixie" Alexander, Elaine Lewandowski, and Mary Catherine Nichols. Alice is survived by her loving daughter, Kendra (Kevin) Redway; grandchildren, Brandon and Jeslyn; siblings, Rita, John (Anni), Judy (Joe), Carole, Sam, David (Linda), and Becky; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends; and her cat, Rascal "Blue".

The family will receive guests on Friday, March 20, 2020 from 3 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Memorial Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Toledo Humane Society or the Toledo Zoo, or you can donate Toilet Paper and hand sanitizer.
