Alice Mary Jurski, a long time Toledo, OH and Matthews, NC resident passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Otterbein Pemberville. She was born December 22, 1935 in Toledo, OH, to parents Carl Johnson and Marian (Martin) Johnson. Alice graduated from Waite High School in 1953 and later attended Davis Business College where she met her husband, Robert Jurski. She worked at Toledo Trust, Temple and Jack & Jill Daycares and Washington Local Schools. In addition to working as a playground supervisor, she was a beloved Brownie Leader, Girl Scout Leader and a Cub Scout Leader. Alice enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren doing puzzles, embroidery, painting and baking. She was an avid book reader who couldn't put a book down until she was done. After reading, Alice shared her books with her friends and family. She also enjoyed her Red Hat Society groups. A kind and giving person, Alice was an angel who walked the earth. Her smile lit up any room she entered.
Alice is survived by her loving children, Sue (Matthew) Ingman, David Jurski, and Lisa Fay; grandchildren, Andrew (Stephanie) Jurski, Emily (Brian) Lescallett, Krystal Ingman, Kairsten Fay, Jacob Fay, Jordyn Jurski, and Natalia Fay; great-grandchildren, Lena, Braxton, Myles, and Bennett and special friends, Sue Jurski, Paul Bowman and Sandy Lowrey. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Robert Jurski and her precious ‘Pom’ Codi .
Memorial contributions may be made to Ashanti Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice in Alice's memory. She will be laid to rest beside Robert at Toledo Memorial Park.
A Celebration of Life for Alice will be held in the Summer of 2025.
