Alex Joseph Pritscher, 32, of Sylvania, son, brother, lover, space cowboy, as well as talented musician and bright light to those around him, passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday January 27th, 2022. Like his grandfather before him, he did not pass from one world into another, but rather returned to the great ocean of this world as all waves do. And although this wave receded more quickly than anyone would have liked, it always stood out for its high energy, spirit, & tenacity (to speak nothing of its thunderous roar).
Whether it was his quick wit and rather brash sense of humor, his love and admiration of music, the upbeat attitude and fun he could bring even after a long day's (night's) work, his determination to complete a task--no matter how trivial--once begun, or any other aspect of his vibrant personality, Alex always had a way of making a strong impression quickly.
He is survived by his Soulmate and the love of his life, Danielle Spoerl of Sylvania; parents Dennis (Fran) Pritscher of Waterville & Lori (Rob) Radke of Franklin, NC; grandparents Kay Pritscher of Maumee, and Judy Lowery of NC; siblings Tarra (Chris) Lippert, Bobby (Amanda) Adams, Jordan Cowan, Madchen (Joe) Peatee, & Gabby (Austin) Bly; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, & nephews of his extended family. Alex had a very special bond with his crazy Aunt Jenny, the city of Chicago and his family there, his Uncle Conrad & Aunt Katie and his cousins, to whom he was as close as siblings, Sarah (Dominic) Biancalana, Levi (Lauren), Max, Jackson, & Henry Pritscher. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Conrad Pritscher & Jack Lowery.
Alex was born at Toledo Hospital on July 18, 1989 and raised in Maumee and then jointly in Waterville and Sylvania. He graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in 2007 and attended Owens Community College. He currently worked at the Toledo Jeep Assembly Plant and was a proud member of the UAW. He always had a can-do attitude that led him to play both the drums & guitar and to develop a love for the outdoors. Taking his boat out onto the Maumee River was one of his favorite ways to spend the day.
Alex's family thanks the staff at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care.
