Alan Pfisterer, age 51, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 13, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 25, 1957 to Alvin and Edna (Leonard) Pfisterer in Toledo. Alan was employed with Syncor International Corp. for many years until he left in 2001 for medical reasons. He was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Alan was a caring, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Anna Pfisterer. Alan is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Sue Pfisterer; children, Andrew, Alexandra and Angelina; mother, Edna (Fred) Roth; Siblings, Ronald and Conrad Pfisterer and Beverly (Michael) Schell; step-brothers, Jim, Larry and David Roth; step-sisters, Pat Broome and Joanne Smalley; mother-in-law, Mary Alice Bihn; many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to a college fund for his children c/o Charter One Bank.
The family would like to give a special thank you to nurses Lisa S., Vicki and Lisa at St. Luke's CVU and Linda, Nicole and Ashley at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg for all of their loving care and support given to Alan and his family through this difficult time.
