Al B. "Butch" Duquette, age 68, of Riga, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from complications of Alzheimer's. Al was an active member at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Ottawa Lake, MI and also active in Parents Without Partners. He served as a former volunteer probation officer in Lucas County. One of his true passions was fishing and he was instrumental in founding the Bass Unlimited Fishing Club in Toledo. Most recently he retired from Tools Unlimited, having worked for them since 1993.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Brenda (Hawkins) Duquette; son, André Duquette and his daughters, Skylar and Adalynn; daughter, Pamela (Brian) Burchett and her children, Elise and Brian; sister, Sue (Tom) Cater; nephew, Tom; nieces, Michelle, Lyndsey and Kristen; mother in law, Nancy Hawkins (Jeff Hart); sisters in law, Martha Guyton and daughters, Abigail and Brooke; Christine Hawkins (fiancé, Joel Washing). He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Irene Duquette and father in law, Lionel Hawkins.
Memorial Services for Al will be Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 5790 W. Temperance Rd., Ottawa Lake, MI 49267. A fellowship dinner will follow at the church.
