Al Antanaitis, age 45, of Toledo passed away on July 22nd 2014 at St. Vincent Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born November 20, 1968 to Albert and Carol Antanaitis (Wagner).
He was a graduate of Deptford High School in New Jersey. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Navy. Al was employed by Local 17 Detroit, Michigan where he was a Journeyman Lineman for over 12 years and he enjoyed his job greatly. He enjoyed being with his wife Kim doing home improvement renovations and spending time with Kim and Alec on the slopes in Michigan snowboarding. He also enjoyed listening and playing drums and guitar with his son, Alec. One of Al's favorite past times was riding his Indian Motorcycles with his friends. Al was always a giver of his time no matter how busy he was he would always make time to help others. He was easy going and optimistic and liked to see others smile and laugh. Al would always end his conversations with his wife "I love you!" and the pride he felt for his son was immeasurable. Ride on "Indian Al"!!!
Surviving is his loving wife Kimberly (Marshall and his son Alec along with many other family members.
The family will receive guests Sunday from Noon-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
The family requests donations be made to an account at Directions Credit Union for his son Alec.
