Rosezella passed away peacefully on January 17, 2014 with her daughter at her bedside. Born in St. Louis, MI to Amon "Merle" and Mary Sumrack Worstell, she is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lindquist Beasley, brother, Marlin Worstell, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins spread throughout the country. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin J Hall, brother, John Merle Worstell and son, Steven M Lindquist.
She moved to east Tennessee in 1967, where she was the proud owner of Outsider's Lounge, operating it for many years with the help of her beloved mother, Mary. She loved Tennessee, but because of the death of her husband Cal and her own deteriorating health, in 2001 she moved to Winston Salem NC to be closer to her daughter.
She was lifelong follower of the teachings of the Church of Christ and never turned away a stranger in need of a meal or a place to sleep. She loved to tell stories of her family and growing up in post depression era W. Virginia and Ohio. Life was hard but family ties were strong. She moved into Clemmons Village ll Assisted Living, Clemmons NC, in September where she made many new friends and was honored as their Resident of the Month in January.
The family will receive guests Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. She will be buried with her family at Lake Township Cemetery, Walbridge, Ohio.
