Adolf H. Ruelke, age 87, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday, September 13, 2021 at home with loving family by his side. He was born on April 20, 1934 in Germany. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Adolf worked in the carpentry business throughout his career before retiring. He loved woodworking and doing projects in his basement. Adolf was a longtime member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church and he loved the Lord. He was very active in his church community. Adolf enjoyed gardening, traveling, taking cruises and spending time with his family. He was also very active in the German Society, the GBU and the GAF; something he was proud of. Adolf loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Hildegard Ruelke; children, Jennifer (Anthony) Pagnanelli and Frank (Michelle) Ruelke; grandchildren, Anthony, Nico, Amber and Carson; and many dear friends.
Visitation and Services for Adolf will be Private. Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
