Abigail Joy Braida

Abigail J. Braida, age 25, of Sylvania, OH passed away March 20, 2023 at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. She was born July 15, 1997 in Toledo to Neil and Amy (Solarek) Braida. Abby graduated from the University of Toledo with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2019. She was employed at UTMC as a Cardiac Step-down Nurse and then traveled as a nurse. Abby loved to tend to her plants, but most importantly spending time with her friends and family. Abby and Christian enjoyed going on date nights and taking their dog "Hank" for walks.

Abby is survived by her parents, Neil and Amy Braida; fiance, Christian Yeary; sisters, Paige and Olivia Braida; grandparents, Susie (Pat) Sheahan and Ennio (Kathy Foust) Braida; aunts and uncles, Gina Lovingood, Sue (Dennis) Hagenwald, Debbie (Maxwell) Brooks, Jan (Craig) Rehkopf, Tom (Ann) Kemmerley, Steve (Connie) Kemmerley and many cousins and friends.

The family will receive guests Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home where the family will greet guests at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
